DPNC Program Cancellation Policy: Pre-registration allows the Nature Center to secure staffing and materials for programs, so that we may best serve you. We require pre-registration and pre-payment for most programs in order to reserve a space. If DPNC cancels a program, you will receive a full refund. If you withdraw from a program more than 4 days in advance, you will receive a refund less a 25% administrative fee. Withdrawals within 4 days of a program are not refundable. Preregistration for all programs is always recommended. Walk-ins should be prepared to pay by check or with exact change for programs at Coogan Farm, off-site, or after hours, and may be turned away if program is full.

Celebrate the 200th birthday of Henry David Thoreau with DPNC at our Eco-Luncheon. His philosophies on land, simple living, coexistence, and preserving the planet for the generations to come are more relevant today than ever! This year’s luncheon will be held at Stone Acres Farm, a historic Stonington farm, a cultural landscape and reservoir of the American Spirit. Dan Wayman, Executive Chef at the award-winning Oyster Club, takes locavore to a whole new level.
